Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • Innovate and refine plastic manufacturing processes such as structural foam molding and injection molding to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Validate and verify processes to ensure consistent adherence to industry standards and product specifications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects.
  • Collaborate with tooling and equipment designers to develop molds and dies meeting product requirements and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with material scientists and suppliers to select suitable plastic materials based on mechanical properties, thermal stability, and cost considerations.
  • Lead quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage cross-functional projects for new product introductions, process enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to address production issues and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations.

What you need for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for tooling and fixture design.
  • Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding and extrusion.
  • Familiarity with quality control methodologies and standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
